EroPets 2024: Registration Date Announcement

We are happy to announce that the EroPets tournament is about to start! It's time to lay it on the line for your master or call on those pets to prove their loyalty. But before we get to the registration date, a quick reminder of the:

RULES

  1. 8 teams of 2: one Master and one Pet in each team.
  2. Teams will compete against each other in each round to progress. Defeated masters are eliminated. Defeated Pets are "captured" and join the victorious master's team.
  3. In Round 1, all matches will be played in Classic mode. Tiebreakers will be played between the two Masters.
  4. In Round 2, at least one match will be in Classic and at least one in Hentai. The third will be in a mode decided between the two Masters.
  5. In the third and final round, at least one match will be in Classic, hentai and a wrestling mode. The mode for the other two matches will be decided between the two masters.
  6. Each round, the masters must declare the match-ups and game modes by posting on the forum or in the #tournaments section on Discord.
  7. Each participant must be willing to play ANY other player. Players may amend the gender of their profile to make the match compatible with their sexuality.
  8. All matches must be played publicly and all logs shared to the forum and Discord.
  9. Short and long mode must be turned off and the preference system and bonus/malus damage features disabled.
  10. All matches must include RP.
  11. Redrawing actions is allowed. Skipping turns is allowed for hypno and bondage moves, as long as this is clearly agreed by both players and declared before the match.
  12. Defeated players receive a penalty for all future rounds. Eliminated players receive a punishment. The details of these can be found here.
  13. Deadlines must be adhered to. If there is a problem, contact me (4th Dimension). Failure to do so, or making no attempt to schedule a match, will be seen as a breach of the rules.
  14. Anyone found breaking any rule (full details of which can be found in this blog post) will be disqualified, removed from the bracket and banned from tournaments for one year, up to and including the EroPets 2025 Tournament.

OBEY THINE MASTER (but be nice to each other)

EroPets is a truly unique tournament geared around the thrill of possession. As such, the ultimate responsibility of deciding who is playing who and in which mode falls to the masters. However, we should all remember that we are all people here, we all have feelings and that this is intended to be fun.

Therefore, consideration should be given to the individual strengths and preferences of each team member. Perhaps one of your pets has more experience with a certain game mode or prefers a certain type of opponent? Masters, your word is indeed final... but don't treat it like a dictatorship.

Having said that, it is important that all players signing up understand that there is an expectation that they will be willing to play any opponent, regardless of gender, sexuality, whether they are cross-gendered, etc. We all have our preferences, of course, but the tournament simply will not work if people dig their heels in and insist they will only play against a certain type of profile. Masters should try and accommodate these preferences when assigning the match-ups for the round but ultimately you need to be flexible and work to find a solution to any problems.

Players can change their gender to allow for such preferences (e.g. change from male to female for a match to enable the content to be heterosexual). Please remember, of course, to respect all preferences. Discrimination is a breach of EF site code of conduct and core values.

RESPECT IS 9/10 OF THE LAW, POSSESSION IS THE OTHER TENTH

Anyone who has played in a tournament before may know that emotions can get heightened when there is a prize or title on the line. We all play to win but we all play for fun too. The EroPets tournament is different in its system of capturing pets because it allows that feeling of being traded like a commodity. That's the point.

However, we all need to remember that the people behind the keyboards do have feelings. Gloating and taunting is fun until it isn't. If someone is getting upset or says to stop, then stop. Of course, people may be RPing their protest so it can be hard to tell sometimes. If you feel that someone is going too far, make sure you distinguish that it isn't RP any more. There is no shame in that: people will respect it. If they don't, please tell me or one of the other tournament staff.

This goes for audience members too. The community aspect of these tournaments is the main appeal. Please watch, support, cheer, have fun. But please don't detract from the two main stars and please do not interfere with tactical discussion or influence decision making. Above all, respect the people playing and their feelings.

HOW TO GET THAT COLLAR

With all that cleared up, all that is left is the small matter of registration. Sign-ups for EroPets 2024 will open on the forum on the 17th August 2024. We will keep the sign-ups open until we have 8 teams and then for 72 hours after that. If both members of a team have a wildcard and wish to use it, please DM me.

Right, all sorted! See you in the dungeons!
