EroPets 2024: The New Way

It's tournament season again and it's EroPets third consecutive year in the tournament circuit! However, significant changes are being made on the overall structure, so let me take you through it all...

But first, just what is EroPets?

EroPets is a tournament that is geared towards people who enjoy losing in EroFights matches. In any conventional tournament, prospective competitors register by themselves and are paired up with a partner to form a team, and only the winning teams advance into the next round.

In EroPets, competitors must sign up as a team of two. What's more, they must decide beforehand who is the master and who is the pet. The master is the captain of the team, while the pet is... well, you know.

In every round of the EroPets tournament, the losing team's pet will be 'captured' and made to join the winning team, increasing the overall team size each round. The Masters will be eliminated and as they leave the tournament, must pick a punishment (more on that later.)

And so, every round of EroPets will see teams getting bigger and bigger. We start Round 1 with 8 teams of 2, and the next round with 4 teams of 3, and the final round with 2 teams of 5.

Before a match between Pets, they must each choose a forfeit from a list of penalties (more on that later, too) and they must be applied to the next match if they lose.

I promise you that this isn't as complicated as it sounds...

Some Personnel Changes

The idea of this tournament stems from Clara's wife Lu, and Clara has been hosting the tournaments since its inception. However, due to the draining nature of this tournament, she has since decided not to host the third edition of the competition.

As such, I (Winston) will be taking over from here on, and after studying the tournament, how it was supposed to run, and how it actually ran, I have decided to make some changes to it to see if it can be more manageable.

Rule Changes

Everything will stay in place except for the old EroPets post-match penalties. I think it would be more interesting and engaging for all parties if matches included special rules, along with an emphasis on IRL play.

From what I observed, most of the old EroPets penalties were IRL related, and were to be fulfilled after the match, and generally speaking, were forgotten about as the tournament carried on.

So here's the major change — we will prepare 9 penalties for players to choose from. Before a match, both competitors must pick a penalty as their forfeit, and that penalty will come into effect when they lose. Those penalties are permanent throughout the tournament, and will consist of an in-match handicap, as well as some JOI instructions to be followed during their subsequent matches.

If a player is eliminated from the tournament (so we're talking about masters and the runner-up team), they have to choose a punishment. Punishments are IRL based tasks that must be chosen from a list, and completed after being eliminated from the tournament.

The partial list of penalties and punishments can be found here, and it's open to discussion, we're waiting for your opinions!

To Close...

EroPets will start after the Classic Tournament is over, and you must have a valid 3-month-old profile with a combined total of 10 games in Classic, Hentai, The Wrestling Ring, or Lesbian Wrestling Ring.

You must also have a partner and sign up as a team. Determine beforehand also who is the Master and who is the Pet. If you don't have a partner yet, consider this your notice to start looking!

There will be another blog post in a couple of days, where we will explain the tournament in greater detail, from sign-ups to match format as well as the completed list of penalties and punishments, so watch this space!
